@Iphonecodhelp That is because you’re a dumbass and haven’t realized that this video is 2 years old. Try your shitty iPhone’s iOS4 against the android 2.2. Good luck.

When it comes down to actually having the phone, Iphone is better. My aha moment to all the android fanboys is when I used an awesome app on my iphone, and my friend that had a droid loved it. He searched for it over and over but it wasn’t available for android, which really disappointed him.

wow, I find it fantastic to see such an nice overview from a woman with apps, which might attract women more.
I hate to see the typical male geek only on those! xD

@xleo21
i dont think you watched the news recently, turns out apple placed a filter on “r-rated” apps such as the “beer sim” or the app that simulates the sounds of guns because they “promote false ideals to which the company does not stand for”.
not hating on apple they got their pros and cons but in this battle having android market open sourced is definitely a K.O for the app store.

By you starting out saying advanced task killer is the number 1 app you should have you have lost all credibility with me. Google should actually ban task killing apps on the market because they are the main reason anyone has problems with their phones.

I had Advanced Task Killer. Caused a lot of problems. Random shut downs, freezing, frame rate issues, and generally made my phone run worse. Removing it, I found my phone performed much better, didn’t randomly turn off, and the battery lasted the same time anyway. There is no need for a task killer in android, it is a linux based OS and manages memory different than Windows so it runs the same if theres 200mb free or 2mb free. It’s better for your phone to not have it.

This apps are kinda useless or there are better apps available. And what;s with that Windows logo? I thought it was Android!

task killer is the most nonsensical app that is. android is designed to keep applications in memory until its getting to low for other needs. almost all of them are not “running” either. they do not use any cpu power nor battery. killing an app may only lead into wasting memory as not all occupied space may be freed if the application is not shut down properly.

its hard for me to get excited about a lot of the apps on the android marketplace. 4 of the 5 here are utilities. a task manager, file browser, tethering software, and security software…

a task killer of any description on a android operating system is just a waste of time…the android system will monitor it by itself…just check out the bad reviews of task killers using battery and bringing systems to a halt through bad management….avoid task killers on android it is not needed

@sprtn1o69 What is necessary or unnecessary is a matter of personal opinion. We try to create tutorials on things our users like to see. We were asked about Pixelpipe so we covered it. I agree that AndroZip is a better file manager but I’ve covered others because people asked. Thanks for your comments.

TaskPanel is a much better task manager. also no ads. Astro is a better filemanager. PixelPipe is unnecessary, just go to gallery and hit share. PDANet on Nexus One works “ok” at best, looking for updates in the future as this one shows promise
